Job Scope and Accountabilities: Key responsibilities will be to: • generate new, high quality sales opportunities with existing and prospective clients in target industry sectors; • manage client relationships, including primary responsibility for projects; • identify marketing initiatives to generate quality prospects / leads and to build SAI Global’s position in market; • report to and work closely with the senior management in order to maximise customer service and revenue with existing and potential customers.
Duties: • The Account Director's principal objective is to secure high value business for the company’s range of specialist products, services and solutions. This will be achieved by: • developing and maintaining a good understanding of the company’s range of services and solutions, areas of expertise and business objectives; • identifying the appropriate contacts within target companies (primarily middle and senior managers in large, blue-chip organisations) as agreed and detailed within sales plans; • establishing contact, meeting and presenting to these individuals to introduce the company’s range of products and services and discuss how they could benefit the target organisation; • following-up contacts, including the preparation of correspondence, written proposals, presentations, pitches, tenders, etc., and maintaining full records and reports; • liasing with clients and programme management/production/consulting services colleagues to ensure that customer projects are managed effectively and professionally; • building SAI Global’s reputation within clients as a provider of creative ideas, innovative and effective solutions for their business, thereby consolidating and extending our market position; • identifying client and market requirements and liaising with Marketing and Product Development colleagues regarding commercial opportunities for new business initiatives; • reporting to senior management on all activities. • • Regular European travel should be anticipated.
Minimum Education/Professional Qualifications & Experience Required: The candidate should have: • relevant sales experience in a business-to-business environment, ideally in Professional Services/Consulting, Banking & Finance, IT or related services - ideally 5 years plus sales experience linked with: • a proven record of achievement in high-value sales, new business development, account management, consultancy or similar; • experience and success in managing high-value and complex relationships with senior management in large corporations; • (ideally) a good understanding of governance, risk and compliance issues affecting international businesses; • good IT literacy and skills; • a degree level education.

To be successful, the role requires: • a strong commercial acumen, with a flair for high-value sales; • an exceptionally able communicator and presenter, both written and orally; • the ability to influence, persuade and direct individuals and project teams to good effect; • excellent skills in consultative selling and communication; • confidence to deal with customers at senior management and board level; • effective contract negotiating skills with an ability to close a deal; • strategic vision, with an ability to think conceptually and a keen sense for new business opportunities; • an ability to work closely and effectively with colleagues providing support systems and services; • strong networking skills; • self-motivation and drive, with the ability to work on own initiative.
In personal terms, the successful candidate must possess energy, initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm. A robust but diplomatic personality must be apparent. First class interpersonal skills are essential to facilitate close working relationships and build the trust of clients and peers.
