Duties for this role include:
• Overall objective is to add value to the clients by developing tailored solutions that meet the strategic objectives • Drive client acquisition through business development activities • Drive account development by identifying further assistance that we can provide the client and ensuring client satisfaction is achieved and reported • Develop the client relationship, in conjunction with Delivery • Project manage strategic solution delivery to meet client requirements • Partner with the strategy team to drive effective marketing activities to identify and attract leads • Track, manage and report on revenue against agreed targets
Key Criteria for this role include:
• Proactively identifies and develops new leads and opportunities • Moves sales opportunities to successful conclusions • Understands customer’s business environment to improve sales • Uncovers factors important to customer’s business success • Understands customer’s business processes and barriers to take-up • Proposes customised solutions that suit customer needs • Writes sales proposals that communicate solutions clearly and persuasively • Prepares quotes and bids that reflect the client’s needs and SAI Global’s capability and margin requirements • Meets deadlines, commitments and targets • Achieves customer retention and growth through understanding satisfaction, risks and deploying appropriate retention and growth strategies • Confidently describes the range of SAI Global programs and how it differentiates with competitors • Ensures profitable delivery that meets gross margin objectives • Maintains complete, up-to-date account records
Minimum Education/Professional Qualifications & Experience Required: Necessary • Tertiary Qualifications in a relevant field Desirable • Business Development or related training • A post-graduate qualification in an appropriate discipline • Exposure to business improvement techniques including management systems, TQM, BPR and Six Sigma
Capabilities • Sophisticated business development skills in a consulting environment • High level of presentation skills • Demonstrated commercial acumen • Demonstrated experience in delivering business improvement • Well developed project management skills • High level written and oral communication skills • Strong organisational, administrative and team skills • Experience with Sustainable Development or Environmental Services • Experience in facilitating or leading continuous improvement and/or organisational improvement and development programs • MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
