CQC-SAI Grand Opening
Speech by Professor Li, President of CQC
Beijing, China

Dear Distinguished guests, ladies and gentlemen: Good morning!

In this gold autumn of harvest, we gather here to celebrate the establishment of Sino-Australian joint venture-- CQC-SAI Management Technologies Co., Ltd.

To begin with, I, on behalf of the China Quality Certification Center, would like to express our warmest welcome to all our guests and friends from the press, and our sincere appreciation for all the hard work that has been done by our colleagues and our friends from Australia and China that have made the joint venture come true.

CQC-SAI Management Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd is a joint venture of CQC and SAI GLOBAL Limited. It took over four years from the initial stage of planning to the final establishment, from the possibility assessment to the opening of the company. During that period, we have received interest from related governmental branches of the two countries, especially the former Certification Accreditation Administration of the People’s Republic of China (CNCA) and its former governor Madam. Wang Feng Qing.

Pluns blossom smells sweet because it has stood through the chilly winter. Similarly, that CQC-SAI Management Technologies (Beijing) Co., Ltd has been able to open due to the hard work of our colleagues from both Australia and China. I would like to thank the executives of Beijing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Beijing Administration for Industry and Commerce in particular. Their active support and service have laid the legal foundation for the opening of the joint venture. Also,I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation for all that have given us their time, support and help!

Currently, the Sino-Australian relationship has entered into a golden period. We have a broad perspective of cooperation. The two economies are complementary, for China is the third largest trading partner of Australia and Australia the ninth largest trading partner of China. It has become a common topic for both countries that we should improve our relations on economic development in order to increase the pace of economic integration under the frame work of the WTO.

The new company will draw on the networks and expertise in management technologies of both organizations in China and globally. It will focus on management technology services, training services, management technology consulting, and act as an agent that could create added value. Based in Beijing, the CQC-SAI will help to serve Chinese businesses which are exporting products and services into international markets as well as help Australian companies seeking to export products and services into China. It is committed to providing our customers with access to high-quality, efficient, and thoughtful services.

The opening of CQC-SAI is only the first step of its development. As the partner of the joint venture, the CQC will give full support to the healthy and speedy development of the company. Meanwhile, we hope the executives and people from all circles will continue to show their support for the company, and to give us their guidance on policies and business.

I would like to thank you for all again for your participation today.
